What is SalesMVP Lab?
SalesMVP Lab is a coaching membership for early-stage founders of SaaS startups looking to learn how to do sales well. It includes learning about sales through resources, courses, frameworks, and webinars, and implementation support through group or 1:1 coaching.
What are the core components of the SalesMVP Lab memberships?
Each membership includes coaching (either office hours, group, or 1:1), access to a community of founders, webinars, courses, and resources. 1:1 coaching also includes deal reviews, call reviews, and tailored help with learning how to prospect.
What does the DIY/community membership include?
The community-only membership includes open office hours that you share with other community members. It also has access to peer channels where you can share progress and ask for feedback. You have full access to webinars, courses, and other helpful resources, all for USD $17/mth + 7-day free trial.
What kind of support can I expect from the community?
You get access to office hours to ask questions, peer discussion channels, and can use DMs.
What is the difference between community membership and coaching packages?
The community membership has limited access to help and support. You can join open office hours and ask questions, but share that time with other founders. Coaching you get dedicated support and help going through your deals, challenges, prospecting, etc. 1:1 coaching also includes call reviews.
What are the types of coaching packages available?
You have access to either group or 1:1 coaching. Group coaching happens in small groups of 3-5 founders learning about sales together. Get feedback from your peers, moderated by a SalesMVP Lab admin. 1:1 coaching has dedicated support that includes deal coaching, mindset coaching, accountability setting, and call reviews.
What is the primary benefit of joining the community versus opting for coaching?
Not everyone is ready to commit to coaching. Sometimes improving your baseline knowledge of sales, with some access to ask questions is enough to get you in the right direction. It's a way to test the content before committing to a coaching relationship.
Can I upgrade from community membership to a coaching package?
Yes, members can upgrade to a coaching package at any time to receive more personalized support.
Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes - there are no contracts or long-term commitments. Coaching needs to be the right fit for you, so you're not locked into long-term expensive agreements with an ineffective coach.
How do I know if I need a coaching package?
Coaching is best for folks who want faster results and need help busting through mindset struggles. You can learn sales on your own with the community membership, but for those who want feedback and iteration on their implementation usually go with a coaching package.
What kind of results can I expect from the coaching packages?
Coaching clients often see significant improvements in their sales processes, confidence in sales interactions, and revenue growth within a few months of starting.
What should I do if I'm about to hire a sales rep/team?
If you are truly past founder-led sales and ready to build your sales team, reach out. I have custom-scope packages that help founders transition from founder-led sales to sales team. We go through your sales process together to productize the components, develop onboarding/learning plans for reps, develop hiring profiles, review sales management rhythms, sketch out performance dashboards, etc. If you want help onboarding/coaching your sales reps, there are add-ons for that as well.
What others are saying:
I would definitely recommend SalesMVP Lab to any technical founder that doesn’t know how to do sales. I was struggling to benchmark against industry standards and felt scared of the sales process. I thought sales was manipulative and cheesy. SalesMVP Lab made me realize that sales done well is not only helpful to the business, but also to customers. Through a series of exercises, we were able to outline a roadmap for our sales process, create structure, and feel more confident with how we do sales.
- Andrew Goldis, Founder @ Currents.dev
The TL;DR version is that I feel I have guidance and support from an expert, with advice and encouragement from the community - and the benefit of all this is that I have confidence I am moving our sales process in the right direction.
- Co-Founder & CEO, Sitebulb
Our main challenge was closing more business. We had some inklings that we might need to move to a sales-assisted or sales-led model. Both being technical founders had very little experience with that. This engagement has changed the trajectory of our company in a positive way. We closed an amazing, huge logo and we grew revenue by 37% in four months.
